Solutions recommends that healthcare service providers operate
NDCMedisoft’s practice management systems on computers
equipped with the following minimum specifications. While
NDCMedisoft will operate on systems comprised of equipment
below these requirements, we cannot guarantee the performance
will meet your satisfaction.
Our networking specialists are available to design, analyze
and configure your network. We would be happy to have one
of our network technicians assist in this task or to work
with your network specialist to ensure your network will function
at optimum capacity.

RECOMMENDED SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
NDCMEDISOFT BASIC
466 mHz Pentium II or greater processor, 64 MB RAM,
1 gig hard drive (500 MB available hard drive space), mouse
or compatible pointing device, CD-ROM 2X or faster. Microsoft
Windows 98 (with current updates), Windows Me, Windows NT
(Version 4.0 with current updates), Windows 2000, or Windows
XP operating system. Faster systems will result in better
performance.
NDCMEDISOFT ADVANCED
466 mHz Pentium II or greater processor, 128 MB RAM, 1 gig
hard drive (500 MB available hard drive space), mouse or compatible
pointing device, CD-ROM 2X or faster. Microsoft Windows 98
(with current updates), Windows Me, Windows NT (Version 4.0
with current updates), Windows 2000, or Windows XP operating
system. Faster systems will result in better performance.
NDCMEDISOFT NETWORK PROFESSIONAL
Workstations: 500 mHz Pentium
II or greater processor, 128 MB RAM, 1 gig hard drive (500
MB available hard drive space), mouse or compatible pointing
device, CD-ROM 2X or faster. Microsoft Windows 98 (with current
updates), Windows Me, Windows NT (Version 4.0 with current
updates), Windows 2000, or Windows XP (XP Professional preferred:
see note below) operating system. Faster systems will result
in better performance.
File Server: 700 mHz Pentium
III or greater processor, 256MB RAM, 1 GB available hard drive
space, mouse or compatible pointing device, CD-ROM 2X or faster.
Windows NT (Version 4.0 with current updates), Windows 2000,
or Windows XP Professional operating system.
Network Hardware: Fast Ethernet
(100mbps or 100BaseTx), 100 base network components (hub and
cards), Category 5 cable.
XP Professional:
NDCMedisoft will operate on Windows XP Home. However, Medical
Data Solutions recommends XP Professional if you are ordering
new equipment. XP Professional is designed for the business
environment while XP Home is designed for home applications.
If your computing requirements change, and you are using XP
Home, you may incur additional expenses to upgrade to XP Professional.
